Exhibitions
We offer monthly exhibitions in our main foyer and library stairwell.
These spaces are busy areas that people walk through, with hundreds of people visiting each week.
All artwork needs to be 2D – either canvas, framed original or digital creations, photography or textiles.
Each exhibition lasts four weeks and costs just £75 which is payable upon acceptance and is non-refundable. There is no commission or further fees payable. The aim is to support local and new artists.
We will feature your artwork in our monthly newsletter and on our social media.
If you are interested or have any further questions, do get in touch with our volunteer art curator, Paula Kendall – paulakendallart@gmail.com with some examples of your artwork.
Our volunteer art curator can assist or hang your exhibition for you, if you would like support, they will also take down the exhibition at the end of the month, ready for you to collect from the office.
Every exhibition requires a poster with your details and how to contact you directly to purchase artwork, as well as captions for each piece. You may wish to produce an A2 laminated poster to promote your exhibition which we can display on an A-Frame (subject to availability). You need to have public liability insurance for the duration of your exhibition.
Exhibiting in the Old School Hall
If you’re interested in holding an exhibition in the large hall here at The Mansion, do get in touch. We’ve had some fantastic group exhibitions including Bedroom Artists, The Bioregional Learning Centre and KEVICC Sixth Form Students.
Please do remember, however, that the hall is reguarly used for workshops and classes, so your 2D exhibition would need to sit in the background.
You can book time slots or days to open the space for the public to visit, but you would need to be present at these times as we cannot leave the hall unattended.
The hall benefits from large windows, and lots of southernly light. There is also a hanging system installed and we’re open to discuss different ideas. The hall as an exhibition space, is booked for 2026 but we’re taking enquiries for 2027, so do pop in and chat to us if you’d like to know more.
